Convocation Of Oath

I solemnly pledge myself to consecrate my life to the service of humanity.

I will give to my teachers the respect and gratitude which is their due; I will practice my profession with conscience and dignity.

The health of my patient will be my first consideration; I will maintain, to the best of my ability and judgment, the utmost respect for human life.

I will respect the secrets that are confided in me, even after the patient has passed away.

I will not permit considerations of age, disease, or disability, creed, ethnic origin, gender, nationality, political affiliation, race, sexual orientation, social standing, or any other factor to intervene between my duty and my patient.

I will maintain the highest standards of professional conduct and integrity.

I will continually seek to improve my medical knowledge and skills and will share my knowledge for the benefit of the profession and the advancement of medical science.

I will uphold the principles of the Indian Medical Association College of General Practitioners and strive to promote the health and well-being of individuals, families, and communities.

I make these promises solemnly, freely, and upon my honor.
